*DESIRES OF THE HEART

(N. Ripley 2008) Tet (Nan's First Blush x Seedling). 5 ½" flower, 26" scapes, 20 - 30 bud count on well-branched scapes. Semi-evergreen, hardy in Zone 4, Fertile both ways. Desires of the Heart, is an exquisitely formed round daylily with overlapping petals in a clear shimmering rose pink color. A large watermark leading into a green throat with a yellow toothy edge finishes this flower. Gorgeous clear pink diamond dusted flowers on tall well-branched scapes. Pink color that is so bright and so clear that it radiates in the garden. This is one of my best and a great parent. SOLD OUT!

(N. Ripley 2008) Dip (Jan's Twister X Let It Rip). What an exquisite true spider! Curious Whiskers' refinement, grace, and beauty of movement in the garden is outstanding. Tasteful opulence in form and presentation, the radiant orange curling petals and sepals flow from a brilliant yellow to chartreuse green throat. This spider runs away with your imagination. (N. Ripley 2008) Dip (Golliwog x Lavender Handlebars). Height 28", flower 8", 3 way branching, bud count 18. Won 3rd as Favorite Lily Chatter Seedling in Open Form. Delicious pink lavender frilly petals and sepals lead you to a yellow-green throat. The petals and sepals stand up away from the throat to give the flower a more 4-dimensional look in the garden. This Unusual form is characterized by intricate and beautiful design and execution of form. It has such beauty and delicacy as to arouse delight when viewing it in the garden. But don't let this fool you; it is very hardy and stands up well all through the day. It Is What It Is calls out to the discriminating collector and breeder of unusual forms. *SCARLET PIMPERNEL (Awards: Stout Silver Medal 2019, Award of Merit 2016, Honorable Mention 2013, 2013 National Convention Ned Roberts spider/Unusual Form Award)

(N. Ripley 2007) Tet (Ruby Spider x Royal Celebration). Height 35”, flower 10”, 3-way to 4-way branching, bud count 12-18 (depending on rain), unusual form. Glowing Royal Garnet Red combined with chartreuse green throat can put a WOW in your garden. This flower has strong saturated colors that dazzle a painter’s eye. I love to paint watercolors and when I laid eyes on Scarlet Pimpernel I immediately wanted to put the brilliant colors and flower form on paper. Scarlet Pimpernel is often producing 4 petals and 4 sepals making 4 x 4 polymerous blooms. The flowers stand erect all day and do not fade, looking as fresh in the evening as in the early morning. When you add that Scarlet Pimpernel is a rebloomer and is both pod and pollen fertile, it is a gardener’s, collector’s, and hybridizer’s dream machine. Double fan, $30.00. This is an extraordinary orchid pink flower with huge darker orchid pink eye and matching edge that has remarkable golden nuggets dripping from the outermost periphery. *NAN’S FIRST BLUSH - Introduction 2004

(N. Ripley 2004) 23" MRe. 5 l/2" - Elegant, clean, Viking white with a large yellow ruffled edge. A splendid yellow throat changing into emerald green appears to draw you into the flower. Opens easily without hanging up even though having large ruffled edge. Vigorous grower in North and South, Fertile both ways.
